Multi-Warehousing

1(2)This add-on program allows maintaining products in multiple warehouses. Instead of just informing user of the availability of X number of a certain product in stock, Z-Bake would also inform user that y amount of the item is in warehouse 01 and the balance z in warehouse 2. By its nature the functionality touches upon many aspects of inventory movement. The sale, purchase, wastage, returns and of course inter-warehouse transfers all affect physical movement of inventory products. There is a limitation of 10 warehouses.

Processing Scanned Check Stubs

1(4)This add-on utility allows Z-Bake users to cut substantial amount of data entry time. Paper checks are often accompanied by stubs that ‘explain’ or ‘enumerate’ invoices that such checks must be applied to. Usually, a data entry person or an accountant accesses the accounting software and starts applying each payment to all the invoices listed on the accompanying stub. This process can be lengthy if one payment covers hundreds of invoices. Chances of making mistakes are plenty. In contrast, by scanning check stubs, digitizing them and then having Z-Bake read them and then applying them to the proper invoices goes a long way towards automating that process.

Needless to say, this process does not apply to all […]

Posting To Accounting Software

1(1) Twin Peaks Software does provide its customers Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules to accompany its Order Entry, Inventory Control, Costing and Production modules in order to have an integrated suite. However, some customers have preferences and set ideas for what accounting software package must be used. At times, their needs are so unique that only few packages are considered. All through the years, engineers at Twin Peaks have created bridges to other accounting software with names such as QuickBooks, ACCPAC, Peachtree, Solomon, MAS90, and few others. Posting to such packages often involves debiting and crediting to accounts or exporting summary invoice information or even detailed invoices, depending on the requirements of the customer.

Consolidating Sales Orders

CONSOLIDATEThis add-on utility allows user to consolidate a number of sales orders into one. This consolidation of orders takes place prior to the conversion of orders to individual invoices. Usually, each sales order or driver ticket, after confirmation of delivery or shipment and subsequent adjustment, is converted to an invoice. However, at times, the need arises to reduce paperwork and redundancy by creating just one invoice that combines many. For example, let us consider a bakery that delivers twice each day to a customer who has three stores. Furthermore, let us assume that the customer pays once a month for all deliveries. Obviously, the monthly check that the customer sends will pay for approximately 180 […]

Gift Cards Processing

2

Gift cards are one of the best selling, year-round commodities in business today. Selling Gift cards and accepting payments in gift card form has become essential for the success of any retail business.

Gift cards aren’t just for holidays anymore. Birthdays, graduations, weddings, special celebrations like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are all occasions for giving gift cards. This year-round gift card phenomenon is a ready-made market for bakers.

Often, Gift Card processing companies charge establishment owners (bakers) a per-transaction fee with certain minumums. They maintain all data on their web based (Cloud) servers. Gift cards are swiped just as credit cards are, and data is transferred via the web. In contrast, Twin Peaks Gift Card software […]

Multi Store Data Polling

5 locationsBusinesses that have multiple store locations and one or more production facilities often require customer and product data to be aggregated in one location or ‘polled’. Furthermore, those bakeries that also take cake orders need to have those orders exported to the production facilities too. Thus, data polling makes it possible to prepare comparative sales analysis reports and print consolidated production reports.

The techniques that are used to achieve polling vary. Twin Peaks Software utilizes its web based application called MyOnlineBakery.com (MOB) as a hub. All data is exported from each store to MOB and MOB then transfers relevant data to production facilities. Updating data stored on local store computers is […]

Lot Item Tracking

HACCP

This functionality or add-on utility affects all three modules of Z-Bake: Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchase Order (PO) and Inventory Conrol and Costing (ICC).

The program has three distinct components:

1. It enables the program user to register where finished products with certain lot numbers end up. That is in the AR module user registers the identity of customers to whom certain products with certain lot numbers were sold.

2. It enables user to relate ingredients with certain lot numbers to the vendors from whom they were purchased. That is, in the PO module user registers ingredient lot numbers to the corresponding vendors.

3. It enables user to link or relate finished items with certain lot […]
